Interstellar Labs builds products for clients. We also run three of our own: SolidHooks, Offcut AI and Flagship. Each one is live, and each one is ours to keep running when something breaks.
That is not a side project. It is the reason the work we do for clients holds up.
Production teaches what specs do not
SolidHooks receives, verifies, stores and retries other people's webhooks. You learn fast that a retry schedule is a product decision, not a config value. Ours is eight attempts with backoff starting at five seconds, and every part of that number has a reason behind it.
Flagship runs bonded terminal operations at African ports. Yard, customs, demurrage invoicing, waybills and payments all touch each other. A mistake in one shows up as money in another, so the system has to be right, not just fast.
Offcut AI turns things people say in meetings into fact-checked posts. It taught us that AI earns its place only when it is allowed to say nothing. If Offcut cannot ground a claim, it does not send a draft.
The same people who would build yours are on call for ours.
What that means for your build
- We start with the smallest version that could be real. Something people can use in weeks, not a deck that promises it in quarters.
- The people who design it also build it. No handover gap between the architecture and the code that ships.
- We stay on after launch. Monitoring, on-call and iteration are part of the job, because we already do them for ourselves.
Bring us the hard one
If you have a product that keeps stalling between idea and production, that is the kind of work we like. Tell us what it is and where it is stuck.
